Emergency Procedures & Policy

Accidents or Illness:

  • Minor injuries will be treated with first aid and documented in an Accident Report for parental acknowledgment
  • In case of severe injuries, emergency medical services (EMS) will be contacted, and the child will be transported to the hospital with a staff member until the parent arrives
  • The program will only provide healthcare with prior parental consent, except for first aid in emergencies

Incident Reporting: Incidents that require immediate reporting include:

  • Severe illness or injury;
  • Emergency evacuation or closure;
  • Medication errors leading to health concerns
  • Unauthorized child pick-up or a missing child
  • Allegations of abuse or

Fire & Evacuation Procedures:

  • Monthly fire drills and quarterly emergency evacuation drills will be conducted and documented
  • In the event of a fire or emergency, children will be safely evacuated to a designated nearby location, and parents will be notified immediately.
