Emergency Procedures & Policy
Accidents or Illness:
- Minor injuries will be treated with first aid and documented in an Accident Report for parental acknowledgment
- In case of severe injuries, emergency medical services (EMS) will be contacted, and the child will be transported to the hospital with a staff member until the parent arrives
- The program will only provide healthcare with prior parental consent, except for first aid in emergencies
Incident Reporting: Incidents that require immediate reporting include:
- Severe illness or injury;
- Emergency evacuation or closure;
- Medication errors leading to health concerns
- Unauthorized child pick-up or a missing child
- Allegations of abuse or
Fire & Evacuation Procedures:
- Monthly fire drills and quarterly emergency evacuation drills will be conducted and documented
- In the event of a fire or emergency, children will be safely evacuated to a designated nearby location, and parents will be notified immediately.
