We follow each child’s schedule and offer engaging daily activities, including music, stories, sensory play, and outdoor walks. Our cheerful playroom is filled with appropriate toys, cozy reading corners, cribs, and high chairs, designed to support early development and comfort. Our loving caregivers focus on building strong bonds, encouraging curiosity, and helping your baby take those important first steps, physically, emotionally, and socially.

Toddler

Our toddler program is all about movement, discovery, and independence. At this stage, children are eager to explore the world around them, and we provide a safe, stimulating space to do just that. Daily routines include music and dance, simple art projects, early language development, hands-on learning, and plenty of outdoor play. We support toddlers in learning how to express themselves, interact with others, and build basic self-help skills. With a mix of structure and freedom, we help turn their growing energy and curiosity into confident early learning.

Our preschool program prepares children for kindergarten and beyond through a balanced approach to learning and play. We focus on building foundational skills in early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development, all while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. A typical day includes circle time, guided learning centers, art, music, storytelling, and outdoor exploration. We foster independence, responsibility, and a love for learning in a fun, inclusive environment where every child is supported to shine.

Vacations / Absences

Parents are required to pay the full monthly fee regardless of their child’s attendance, including partial-month absences. This policy aligns with standard daycare practices and is essential to ensure the Daycare’s continued operation throughout the summer and holiday seasons. If your child will be absent for the day, please notify the daycare by calling before 9:00 AM. In the event that a child has not arrived by lunchtime and no prior notice of their absence has been received, the Director or a staff member will contact the parents to confirm the child’s whereabouts.

Drop Off / Pick-up

Parents or their designated guardians are responsible for escorting their child(ren) into the Daycare and ensuring that staff are informed of their arrival. It is highly recommended to briefly communicate with the teacher to share relevant information, such as the child’s temperament, sleep quality, and eating habits. At pick-up time, please ensure that you notify the teacher before departing with your child. Leaving your child at Daycare can be challenging for both parents and children. To ensure a smooth drop-off, we recommend keeping the process brief and establishing a consistent routine. Lingering in the room may make the separation more difficult for your child. For your convenience, designated pick-up and drop-off parking spots are available directly in front of the building. In accordance with Alberta Licensing regulations, parents or their designated representatives are required to sign their child in upon arrival and out upon departure using the provided sign-in/out sheet of the daycare. To support the Daycare’s programming, all children must arrive by 8:00 AM, as this is when daily activities begin. Late arrivals can disrupt ongoing programming and may require staff to reintroduce activities, impacting the experience of other children. Timely arrivals also help ensure that children are well-settled and prepared for the morning snack

Alternate Person Pick-up

If someone other than a parent or the designated guardian will be picking up your child, please notify the Daycare in advance. Whenever possible, we recommend discussing this change with your child beforehand to help ease the transition and prevent any distress. All authorized alternate individuals must be listed on file with the Daycare and will be required to present valid photo identification at the time of pick up. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your child. The Daycare is committed to safeguarding children and will take all reasonable measures to prevent a non-custodial parent or unauthorized individual from removing a child from the premises. In the event of any attempted unauthorized pickup, the police will be contacted immediately, and parents will be notified without delay.

Items to be provided by parents

To ensure your child’s comfort and readiness for daily activities, parents are required to provide the following items:

  1. Clothing: A complete change of clothes appropriate for the weather, including underwear for potty-trained children.
  2. Footwear: Both indoor and outdoor shoes.
  3. Diapers and Hygiene Supplies: Diapers and wipes for children who require them. Diaper cream may also be provided.
  4. Comfort Items: Parents may provide a soother, bottle, and a small sleeping toy if desired.

Parents are also required to provide crib sheets and blankets for their child’s nap time. The daycare does not supply bedding. All personal bedding items must be taken home weekly for laundering.
